Student Support & Welfare
The University has various bodies for the students' support and their grievance redressal. The objective of the various committees is to ensure that the students' welfare and interests are safeguarded, and their grievances are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Our University Student Grievance Redressal Cell (USGRC) addresses complaints made by aggrieved students which were not resolved at Department/College level, ensuring a comprehensive support system for all students.

Scope of SGRC
What is a Grievance?
Any discontent or dissatisfaction that a student faces or even imagines, when not addressed properly is treated as grievance. Grievance is an upward communication.
What SGRC Addresses
The SGRC will address the complaint(s) made by an aggrieved student(s) which were not resolved at Department/College level. This includes but is not limited to:
- Academic concerns not resolved at department level
- Administrative issues affecting student welfare
- Facility and infrastructure related complaints
- Hostel and accommodation grievances
- Examination and result related concerns
- Any other matters affecting student interests
Standard Operating Procedure
Our systematic approach ensures transparent and timely resolution of all grievances:
Online Registration
Register your grievance on the "STUDENT GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL CELL" section on the university website uudoon.in.
Investigation Begins
On receipt of complaint, the committee shall investigate the case thoroughly.
Hearing & Clarification
If required, a hearing with the complainant or clarification from the concerned party will be conducted.
Student Representation
An aggrieved student may appear either in person or authorize a representative to present the case.
Report Submission
The USGRC shall submit its report and recommendations to the Registrar of the University.
Decision & Communication
The Registrar makes the final decision and communicates it to all parties involved within 15 working days.
Appeal Option
Any student aggrieved by the decision may appeal within 15 days to the Ombudsperson (ombudsperson@uumail.in).
Invalid Complaints
If the complaint/grievance is found invalid, both the complainant and the person against whom the complaint is made will be informed accordingly and penal action may be taken.
Resolution Timeline
The complaint in any case shall be resolved within 15 working days of its receipt, ensuring prompt action and resolution.

Register your grievance through our online system on the university website. All complaints are handled with confidentiality and resolved within 15 working days.

For escalation or additional support, you can also register your grievance through the UGC e-Samadhaan Portal, a national platform for student grievances.

If you are not satisfied with the SGRC decision, you may appeal within 15 days to the Ombudsperson who will proceed as per UGC regulations.
